In Taiwan, we visited this zoo-like amusement park where you can rent your own golf carts to zoom around in and they had this koi pond just TEEMING with koi. When someone paid the 10NT to buy fish food and threw it in the water, the koi would converge and fight each other for the food, sometimes forcing other koi to get shoved above everybody else and up out of the water. Every few seconds you’d see this koi struggling to find a hole between the koi bodies to squirm through, so that it could get back into the water. They almost looked like hundreds of pigs just trying to vacuum up whatever food they were lucky enough to encounter.

The bugs are HUGE in Taiwan! The new lens’s macro isn’t too shabby… the focus isn’t super sharp, though.
