Snapshots: Clouds Over Central Park

Sep 9 2008

After a long day of walking all over New York, we finally made it to Central Park. We pretty much immediately made our way to a grassy knoll and plopped down. I really enjoyed watching the clouds pass by overhead… they were moving so quickly, it was actually pretty interesting and relaxing haha.

Snapshots: Central Park

Snapshot from my little Canon camera in Central Park, NY. We didn’t wander too deeply into Central Park because we’d walked miles already and were too tired. We saw a grassy knoll with other people lounging around, found an open spot, and just lay there and chilled. I spent most of the time staring up into the sky watching the clouds float by, the occasional plane fly overhead, and the sparrows flitting from tree to tree. From our spot you could hear a combination of the the street sounds, the birds chirping, and the guy sitting on the bench rocking out to his own tune on an electronic keyboard. It was wonderful.

Labor Day

My parents and Carol came to visit this weekend and we somehow ended up at the Midway Museum in Downtown SD. It was pretty cool to check out, and amazing how they all fit in those tiny bunks and cramped quarters. The deck was definitely the coolest part, with all the old retired planes… but man, was it hot up there.

Happy Labor Day! Hope no one worked too hard today :P

I Hate Spiders

Taken on the Torrey Pines hike during sunset. There were a ton of these nasty looking spiders hanging out among the cactus. Really made you want to stick to the path and not stray off it.
