Happy Thanksgiving!

Nov 27 2009

Turkey
It was nice to be home with all my sisters for once. A rare complete family occasion :) We had hot pot for lunch and then my mom proceeded to prepare the turkey. Five or so hours later, this was the outcome! Our house smelled soooo good for so many hours before it was time to eat haha. :)

I am very thankful for my family and friends. After having just returned from a Habitat trip to Thailand, I’m also really grateful I got the opportunity to go out there and volunteer for a week. We’ve been really blessed and I hope I can continue to give back each year.

Family Photo
My goal is to make my fortune (hopefully :P), retire, and spend the rest of my capable life traveling and doing humanitarian work like Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter and Bill & Melinda Gates. I really enjoy working with Habitat… not because I’m some goody two-shoes or something, but because I actually really like doing that kind of work. It makes me feel good, I’m helping a great cause, and I get to travel to different locations and meet all sorts of people that I wouldn’t normally come across… seriously, what’s not to like? :D

Tia
In closing, here’s a photo of Tia, because Thanksgiving just isn’t complete without a photo of her haha :P

Back in the states!

I had an incredible time… it was definitely worth every penny and every drop of sweat haha :) Now, I’m working on organizing my photos and catching up on everything… so much work to do already lol. Hopefully I can blog and upload photos within the next couple of days so I can start doing some of the tons of work that’s waiting for me :T Life never takes a break haha… but this trip made me really appreciate all that I have and I’m thankful I was able to be a part of such a big event in our homeowners’ lives. I’m going to try and do either a JRCWP or a Global Village trip every year. I think everyone should do at least one in their life… it’s a really incredible and worthwhile experience and totally doable if you plan for it! :) I hope for my next trip I can convince some of my friends to come out with me :P
