Unemployment has been pretty awesome so far. After running around my first week getting this and that done, it’s more relaxing and go-at-my-own-pace now. I’ve been working on this blog day and night… I get up and head to my laptop to start coding right away – not because I have to, but because I really want to. I’m totally digging setting my own hours and all the freedom :P Makes the work I do seem more worthwhile :)

Anyways… what’s next for me? Habitat for Humanity goodness and then hopefully continuing to consult for various companies/projects for awhile and seeing how long that can last me. I also want to get into stock photography and make back some of the dough spent on photo equipment :P And through all that, I’m hoping to finish any of the various projects I’ve started since the beginning of the year… Flickrview, fixing some kinks in my portfolio, this webapp-centric video interface I was experimenting with (to practice creating full-fledged JavaScript heavy web apps) and so on.

The web is such a dynamic place to be… I love that I get to learn new/better ways of implementing client-side goodness all the time :)
