Springtime… lots of ducklings to be found at the zoo. These were being harassed by kids, whose parents didn’t do anything to stop them… even with a very flustered and concerned mommy duck nearby. This was the last duckling to take the plunge after the kids chased them off the bridge.

I think I’ve discovered the perfect time to visit the zoo… go around 2.30/3 and a lot of the animals that are normally asleep or hidden are all active and out and about! It was awesome… the tigers were super playful and the bears were out of their dens. Also actually saw a mongoose this time, because it was also not hiding in some dark corner. :P

Sleeping Koala

He’s so cute! He looks so peaceful even though there were tons of people crowded around clapping and yelling, trying to get the koalas to look up. His fur also makes him look like a stuffed animal haha. :D

Just messing around in the San Diego Zoo as it was closing. Surprised no one tried to kick us out. The park was pretty much empty.

Good-bye to 2008… it’s been a rough year, and hello to 2009! I can’t wait for a fresh start and I can’t wait to see what 2009 brings. Resolutions-wise, I want to work “normal” hours… meaning average < 50 hours a week at work, rather than the 50-60 that I’ve been doing the past 2 years. With the extra “free-time” I want to shoot more photos, learn more about photography, and hone my craft and style. I also want to meet new people who challenge me creatively and can appreciate what goes into making a website look awesome & function well (shout-out to Clement, whom I definitely miss having around). I want to bring Habitat back into my life – I’ve been feeling empty without it. My last resolution: hit the gym more often and get back into shape (isn’t this on everyone’s list? :P).

Here’s to a new year and a fresh start! :D
